Privacy Policy

Rave Eyewear is a music-focused Reality Modulation experience. Its policies describe what the products actually do today. We do not write policy for features that do not exist.

Principles

• On-device first. Audio analysis and visual transformation run locally.
• Analyse, don't record. Ambient audio is converted to features (beat, bass, spectrum, dynamics) and discarded within milliseconds. It is never stored or uploaded by default.
• No hidden capture. Recording requires explicit, separate permission, is clearly indicated, and only happens when you capture.
• Minimal telemetry. First-party, aggregate analytics with no cookies, no fingerprinting and no third-party trackers.
• One account. Rave Eyewear uses the shared Reality Modulation account; we do not build a second identity system.

What we collect

• Website: email and optional first name if you join the list; support messages; aggregate page and click events (path, event name, no identifiers). IP addresses used for abuse prevention are hashed with a server-side salt and truncated; raw IPs are not stored.
• App: account details (through the shared Reality Modulation account), saved modes and presets, favourites, safety preferences, and aggregate session information (mode, duration, device kind — never audio, never precise location).
• Microphone: used only while Live or the browser preview is active, for on-device feature analysis. Not recorded, not transmitted.
• Camera and photos: requested only for Rave Preview and Capture. Frames are processed on-device; captures are saved to your library only when you choose. Capture metadata includes mode, intensity and time — not precise location.
• Bluetooth and device identifiers: used to pair and manage Ravium™ hardware and to register a device to your account for entitlements. Development simulator data is never mixed with real hardware telemetry.
• Music metadata: now-playing information from services you connect, used only to drive visuals. We never access protected audio streams.

Sharing and sale

We do not sell personal information. Service providers (hosting on Vercel, database on Neon, app stores) process data on our behalf under contract. Captures you share leave through your device's native share sheet, to destinations you choose.

Your choices

Unsubscribe from any email. Revoke microphone, camera, photo or Bluetooth permissions in your device settings at any time. Request a copy or deletion of your data below or at privacy@raveeyewear.com.

Children

Rave Eyewear is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We will update this page when the products change, with the effective date above.
